127th Air Refueling Group leaders get buzz cuts for inspection performance
127th Wing Command Chief Master Sgt. Keith Edwards (and the 191st Maintenance Squadron's Maintenance Flight Superintendent), sits patiently during his shearing received as an appreciation for the 127th Air Refueling Group's performance at their recent inspections. 127th Family Services distributes care packages
Da'Nell Heino, a 127th Family Services advisor volunteer and the wife of an active duty member for the Coast Guard Sector Detroit, helps distribute care packages for active and reserve members received from the Detroit Pistons, the Palace at Auburn Hills and Feed The Children. Approximately 400 care packages were donated for local military. Da'Nell volunteers much of her time and talent during drill weekends in suppport of 127th Wing members and their families. Members of the Corporal Christopher Kelly Willis Foundation (CCKWF) pull out from the Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan, visitors center parking lot to begin their first leg of a four day biker charity ride. Joint efforts make radio test a success
Personnel involved with the testing of the IbisTek wireless data link radio at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mich., last week, gather around the Gladiator robot. The unique joint nature of the base in the northern suburbs of the metro-Detroit area, brought together many parts of the Army and the Air Force to create a cost-saving test environment for the radio which promised increased range for use on an Unmanned Ground Vehicle. 9-11 Memorial Service
A 9-11 memorial service was held at the Selfridge Base Chapel commemorating the 8th anniversary of the events of that fateful day. Members of the Army, the Air National Guard, civilian employees and local retirees were in attendance of the short event honoring the lives of almost 3,000 people who fell victim to the events of that day almost a decade ago.
