107th Weather Flight Airmen from the 127th Wing, Michigan Air National Guard, participates in a rigorous fitness test.
A 107th Weather Flight Airman from the 127th Wing, Michigan Air National Guard, participates in a rigorous fitness test on September 20th which consisted of a three mile run, four minutes of sit-ups, two minutes of pushups, pull-ups and a 1,500 meter swim. The 107th Weather Flight is a highly trained special tactics unit trained to provide mission critical forecasts in forward deployed locations to U.S. forces involved in combat operations. The 107th Weather Flight is part of the Air Force Special Operations Command and works with U.S. and foreign allied special operations units. Maintenance personnel of the 127th Wing prepare to launch ten A-10s that will deploy in as part of "Operation Demons to DM" on Saturday, January 9. After just six months of flying the A-10 mission from Selfridge Air National Guard Base, the 107th's "Red Devils" along with approximately 120 maintenance and support personnel, deployed to Davis-Monthan AFB, Ariz. There, the Michigan Guardsmen will take advantage of the ideal weather conditions to increase training tempos to prepare to upcoming missions in support of global operations.
