127th CES in Ghana, Africa
Accra, Ghana (9 April 2010) – Master Sgt. Tim Forys, pest control specialist with the 127th Civil Engineering Squadron, applies pesticide to the temporary living quarters of a detachment of Air National Guardsmen from the 127th Civil Engineering Squadron, a unit of the Michigan Air National Guard. The detachment was deployed to Accra, Ghana, to work with the North Dakota Air National Guard and the Ghana Air Force at Akota air base. The unit is working on doing major renovations to a technical training building at the base. Macomb County Young Marines recieve Fire Safety training
On Wednesday, April 7, the Selfridge Fire Department held the first of four classes aimed at helping Macomb County Young Marines achieve fire safety badges. 127th Wing Firefighters Dan Meinhard, Wes Cooper, Kevin Lloyd and members of the Yount Marines 1st Platoon observe during the hands-on portion of the fire extinguisher training which gives each of the Young Marines an opportunity to use an extinguisher to fight a small fire using the sweeping technique. Father meets daughter for the first time
Technical Sgt. Christopher J. Anderson, 127th Security Forces, is introduced to his five-month-old daughter, Isabell at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mich., Feb. 12 by his wife, Kimberly, after returning from Camp Sather, Baghdad International Airport, Iraq.
