Inspecting the engines: KC-135

Tech. Sgt. Kenneth Evans, crew chief with the 191st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, inspects the turbine blades of a CFM56 high-bypass, two-shaft turbofan jet engine on a KC-135T Stratotanker at Selfridge Air National Guard Base on Oct. 27, 2023. The KC-135T Stratotanker employs four CFM56 engines to perform strategic air refueling mission. Every support, strike and air superiority asset in the U.S. Air Force relies on aerial refueling as a long-range force multiplier to maintain the global advantage in air dominance.
