A U.S. Air Force A-10 from the 107th Fighter Squadron, 127th Wing, Michigan National Guard, flies with a 305th Rescue Squadron HH-60 during joint training in the mountains of upstate New York and Vermont Aug. 2. Both aircraft were role players in a combat search and rescue training flight, where the A-10 provided (simulated) close air support while the HH-60 located and "rescued" an F-16 pilot from the 158th Fighter Wing, Vermont Air National Guard.
