Personnel involved with the testing of the IbisTek wireless data link radio at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mich., last week, gather around the Gladiator robot. The unique joint nature of the base in the northern suburbs of the metro-Detroit area, brought together many parts of the Army and the Air Force to create a cost-saving test environment for the radio which promised increased range for use on an Unmanned Ground Vehicle. In this photo (left to right, starting back row), Mr. Greg Hudson, robot technician; JS RPO; Mr. Randall Ponder, engineering technician, JS RPO; the Gladiator Robot; Major Kevin Schrock, assistant manager, product APM maneuver system; Mr. Samuel Pirrone, radio frequency engineer; (front row) Mr. Robert Rappold, engineering team lead, Small Unmanned Ground Vehicles; Ms. Valerie Bolhouse, systems engineer; and Ms. Shanna Render, TARDEC Gladiator project manager.
