SATHER AIR BASE, Iraq -- Master Sgt. Mark Kaufmann, 447th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron, takes a photo with Santa here Dec. 13. The Force Protection program manager deployed for the past seven months from the Michigan Air National Guard at Selfridge ANG Base, “loves Christmas” and jumped on the opportunity to send a gift back home for his children. “I wanted to send my son, Aric, and daughter, Krista, a fun photo for them to look at and think of me at this time, as I think about them all the time.” Staff Sgt. Jeffrey Bock, 447th ESFS, deployed from the New Jersey Air National Guard at McGuire Air Force Base, volunteered his time and talents playing Santa for four hours during the day. More than 40 Airmen took the opportunity to take a photo with Santa to send back home to friends and family for the holidays. (Staff Sgt. Jennifer Lindsey)
