127th Wing Photos

Hot Refuel Exercise

Two crew chiefs from the 127th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron work on a hot refuel of an A-10 Thunderbolt II, Aug. 4, 2010, at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mich. The hot refuel was the first to be performed at Selfridge on an A-10. The 127th Wing at Selfridge began flying the A-10s in early 2009. The crew chief in the safety vest, left, is holding a dead man switch, which can quickly stop the flow of jet fuel to the aircraft in an emergency. (U.S. Air Force photo by TSgt.
