127th ARG Returns Home

After an approximately month-long deployment in support of operations in the Pacific Command Area of Responsibility, Airmen of the 127th Air Refueling Group return home to Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mich., April 3, 2012. During the deployment, the Airmen operated KC-135 Stratotankers, including the one they returned home on, to allow U.S. and allied air power to operate with a global reach. About 60 Airmen from the 127th ARG participated in the deployment, which included some Airmen operating from the island of Guam and others assigned to a base in Alaska. Another dozen or so Airmen of the 127th ARG are currently deployed to the Central Command Area of Responsibility, as part of an ongoing rolling mobilization for the unit that is expected to last at least through the remainder of 2012.
