Major Thomas Sierakowski holds the 127th Civil Engineer Squadron guidon after assuming command of the squadron during a May 20, 2012, ceremony at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mich. In 2011, Sierakowski was selected to be the Deputy Base Civil Engineer for the 127th Civil Engineer Squadron. The assumption of command is a military tradition that dates back to the 1800’s.
