Rickenbacker at Selfridge

Capt. Eddie Rickenbacker, America's Ace of Aces in World War I, poses with other members of the 94th Pursuit Squadron, the famous "Hat in the Ring" squadron, while assigned to Selfridge Field following the close of World War I. Rickenbacker and the 94th were part of the 1st Pursuit Squadron that was assigned to Selfridge in the 1920s. Rickenbacker is the third from the left, next to the Hat in the Ring insignia on the aircraft.
