Airmen walk across the flight line in front of the Base Operations Building at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mich., on the morning of Oct. 9, 2012. The Airmen were performing their daily morning FOD walk, looking for foreign objects which could potentially be sucked into an aircraft engine and cause damage. The Base Operations building at Selfridge, also known as Building 50, was built in the 1930s and has served as the operations center for more than three-quarters of a century of military aviation activities.
