Maurice Kemp and Staff Sgt. Eric Burgess prepare to sign their wills under the supervision of 1st Lt. Kemp recently joined the Air National Guard at Selfridge and is a member of the 127th Wing’s Student Flight, where new Airmen gain basic information on the Air Force while awaiting a date to attend Air Force Basic Military Training. Burgess, who was accompanied by his wife, Crystal Burgess, is a member of the 127th Maintenance Squadron. Since Citizen-Airmen of the Air National Guard are subject to short-notice deployment, it is important that they maintain a high degree of readiness in their personal affairs, as well as in their military training.
