All disabled Veterans can use their hard-earned Exchange benefit in person at the Exchange. Veterans with service-connected disabilities can access the installation by visiting the visitor’s center to obtain a year-long pass for base access. Department of Defense civilians, including Coast Guard civilians, who hold Common Access Cards can shop in-store at the Exchange and its operations including unattended retail units and the Express. Retired DoD and Coast Guard civilians can shop online only. Purchase restrictions at Exchanges apply for DoD civilians. Shoppers can visit aafes.com/exchange-stores/patrons-merchandise/patrons.htm for details. “Tax-free shopping for life is a tangible way to honor the service of Veterans and welcome them home. DoD civilians are an important part of continuing the mission alongside service members too,” said Selfridge ANGB Exchange General Manager Charles Thrasher. “By shopping with the Exchange, Veterans and DoD civilians help improve the Quality of Life for service members and their families as 100% of Exchange earnings are invested into military communities.” Veterans can visit aafes.media/paveterans for more information on their shopping benefit.
