About 75 Michigan Airmen returned home to Selfridge Air National Guard Base the day after Veterans Day, after spending about two and a half weeks participating in Combined Resolve 2014, a major exercise based in Germany.

Combined Resolve is a Joint Multinational NATO training mission preparing U.S. and European militaries for combat rotations in Iraq and Afghanistan, focused predominantly on large conventional force operations.

The Michigan Air National Guard Airmen who participated in the exercise were primarily from the 127th Operations Group, 107th Fighter Squadron and 127th Maintenance Group, along with a smaller contingent from the 127th Air Refueling Group and 171st Air Refueling Squadron.
