Selfridge firefighters helped to combat a three-alarm fire at the Harbor Club Apartments on Jefferson Avenue and Shook Road in Harrison Township.

Selfridge had one fire engine and four personnel on scene assisting the effort to halt the blaze in the 30-unit apartment building.  The vehicled helped supply Harrison Township platform for water while the firefighters assisted in rescuing animals and helping civilian fire departments with random tasks that needed to be performed.

A memorandum of agreement exists between Harrison Township firefighters and Selfridge Air National Guard Base which allows interoperability between the community and military's first responders - both on and off the installation.
