Soldiers and Airmen from the Indiana Army National Guard and Michigan Air National Guard perform a parachute drop over Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mich., Aug. 13, 2012. During the jump, the Soldiers and Airmen are able to control their canopy to enable them to land in a targeted location. The Soldiers and Airmen spent a day conducting joint airborne operations, with each individual making several parachute jumps during the day. The training allowed the Soldiers and Airmen to maintain their proficiency in a variety of skill requirements.
