Selfridge honors the contributions of military women
Tech. Sgt. Jessica Chatfield, a crew chief assigned to the 191st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, is honored to serve her country. She joined the Michigan Air National Guard, inspired by her grandfather, an aircraft mechanic during the Korean War. Chatfield has served in the military for over 18 years and has traveled to over 30 states and countries. She has met hundreds of amazing people and would have never had the opportunity without being a military member. Airmen support FEMA
Staff Sgt. Bill Humbree and Senior Airman Mathew Shaver, and additional members of the 127th Wing, assemble hospital beds at the TCF Center in Detroit, Michigan. A team of ten citizen Airmen from the 127th Wing at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, joined approximately twenty other Michigan National Guard members to assist the Federal Emergency Management Agency in creating a Federal Medical Station at the TCF Center. The 1,000-bed facility is intended to assist local healthcare facilities in receiving COVID-19 patients.
