Health screening fair planned at Base Exchange

The Selfridge Base Exchange will be the site of a health screening screening Friday , Sept. 18. McLaren Macomb Hospital will be at the exchange to offer screenings from  more than   eight health departments including, bariatric, weight management and joint replacement. The health screenings will take place 12-2 p.m., in the mini mall located at the Exchange in Building 700.

"We are very excited to come out to help serve the military community," said Kelley Lovati, community outreach coordinator for McLaren Macomb Hospital.

"The base is located amongst our service area, many people are not aware we are here. It is a great partnership opportunity" said Lovati.

It is anticipated the health fair will be an annual event. 

"We are glad to do something special for the military community." said Doaa Hassan, services business manager at the Exchange and coordinator of the event.

During the health fair, Spiro Lotsis, owner of Spiro's diner at the Exchange. will provide 10 percent off of food purchases .

Other vendors scheduled to attend the event include Wildtree, Forever Living Products, Me'Shea Bath and Body.
