Women Veterans and Active Duty Servicewomen to meet in Frankenmuth

Women from throughout Michigan will come to Frankenmuth not only to enjoy the fabulous fall ambiance but to share their histories and work to keep their organizations a vital resource for all women who serve. This event is for 3 days with the main day of events being Saturday, Oct. 24th, starting at 9am. Meeting at the Bavarian Lodge Inn, One Covered Bridge Lane, the group will start Friday night with the public invited to file claims with the Veteran Administration, and learn about the Great Lakes National Cemetery. There is no cost for this service and all that is needed is a discharge summary or DD-214. 

Saturday starts early with registration at 8am, a mini health fair, and various exhibits. Conference starts at 9am with a variety of speakers. Lunch is at 11:30 with speakers and round tables discussions that will last until 3pm. After a few hours of taking in the great sites of Frankenmuth, those who are interested will meet again for informal talks and camaraderie. Cost for all day Saturday is $30. 

Sunday will be breakfast and the last day to file any veteran claims.
