The hydrant system consists of two tanks that hold approximately 700,000 gallons of jet fuel combined and has three pumps capable of pumping jet fuel at a rate of 600 gallons per minute.

Airmen return home from Guam
A KC-135 Stratotanker with Airmen from Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mich., recently returned home after completing a successful deployment to the Pacific Ocean island territory of Guam. The Michigan Guardsmen, part of the 127th Wing based at Selfridge, provided support and tanker operations at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, supporting continuous bomber presence and theater security plan in the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command’s area of responsibility. The KC-135 primarily provides air-to-air refueling services to U.S. and allied aircraft, a mission of particular importance given the vast distances involved in the Pacific Region.

Airmen support FEMA
Staff Sgt. Bill Humbree and Senior Airman Mathew Shaver, and additional members of the 127th Wing, assemble hospital beds at the TCF Center in Detroit, Michigan. A team of ten citizen Airmen from the 127th Wing at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, joined approximately twenty other Michigan National Guard members to assist the Federal Emergency Management Agency in creating a Federal Medical Station at the TCF Center. The 1,000-bed facility is intended to assist local healthcare facilities in receiving COVID-19 patients.
