127th SFS sergeant killed in Detroit shooting Published May 27, 2014 SELFRIDGE ANGB, Mich. -- A military member assigned to a Selfridge unit was killed in a shooting incident Tuesday, May 27, 2014, in Detroit. Staff Sgt. Johnny Clyburn, a 21-year Air Force veteran and a member of the 127th Security Forces Squadron, was allegedly shot by his stepson in his home. The Detroit Police Department has arrested a suspect in the shooting. "Selfridge lost a valued member of our team to a tragic incident today. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Johnny's family, friends and his Security Forces brethren," said Col. Philip Sheridan, 127th Wing commander. "We are standing ready to help his family get through this trying time."
