Dan Heaton 127th Wing Public Affairs SELFRIDGE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Mich. -- The 127th Wing at Selfridge Air National Guard Base will serve as the host of the 2nd Annual Energy Awareness Open House for area federal and other governmental agencies. The open house will feature informational training programs and exhibitors to help agencies explore ways to cut energy costs. "We'll be offering training sessions on some really easy steps that people can take to conserve energy and cut down on bills," said Shannon Bergt, energy program manager at Selfridge. The open house will be noon - 3 p.m. and the training sessions will be offered 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Dining Facility at Selfridge, Wednesday, Oct. 24. About 40 vendors are expected to have informational booths set up. The open house will feature several training sessions: 10 a.m. - noon: Utility Rebate Training for DoD Installations (Advance registration is required). Noon - 1 p.m. : Residential Energy Conservation Trainings by MSU Extension Service. 1:30-2:30 p.m.: Training for building managers and Selfridge base tenant commands.
