Selfridge Testing Base PA System Published April 5, 2011 127th Wing Public Affairs SELFRIDGE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Mich. -- Emergency management officials at Selfridge Air National Guard Base will be conducting tests of the base's public address speaker system in the afternoon of Thursday, April 7, 2011. Nearby residents may hear sirens and announcements over the base loud speaker system. The base routinely conducts a variety of disaster-response drills and exercises. Selfridge is home to the 127th Wing of the Michigan Air National Guard, which operates KC-135 Stratotanker and A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft. The base is also host to a wide variety of related military and homeland security units.
