MWR brings back the Patriot Pub to Selfridge
The grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for The Patriot Pub at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mich., was on Nov. 22, at building 826, previously the bowling alley. The ribbon was cut by Mr. Alan Parks (front left), Deputy Garrison Manager, U.S. Army Garrison Detroit Arsenal; Ms. Denise Ellise-Goyke (back left), Director for Family Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Detroit Arsenal; Mr. Rick Bonds (front right), Business Operations Director for The Patriot Pub; and Mr. Greg Peci (back left), winner of the contest to name the new pub. The establishment is a returned Military Welfare and Recreation (MWR) asset that will give the opportunity for anyone at Selfridge or visiting veterans, retirees and guest to eat, relax, and enjoy time in a social atmosphere.
