The reception began with a simulated aircraft dropping off the Airmen. They were then bussed to the base theater to go through a processing line that involved briefings by different agencies on base. “When receiving forces, they have to process through different agencies to get them acclimated to the base,” said Staff Sgt. Ashley Adams, 8th Force Support Squadron noncomissioned officer in charge of installation personnel readiness. After being processed, personnel were ‘bedded down’ or provided lodging at the Wolf Pack Park, an area specifically for housing follow-on forces. Receiving forces requires coordination and aid from several different organizations on base. “Ground transportation are responsible for transporting the personnel and 8th Logistics Readiness Squadron help unload the cargo from the plane,” said Adams. “There are about 10 different agencies involved in just the personnel deployment function line.” While the process calls for the synchronization of several moving parts, they are all essential to effectively take accountability of arriving personnel and assets, and ultimately provide forces what they need to begin fulfilling duties at Kunsan AB. “We’re receiving 108 simulated bodies this time but if something were to actually happen, we would be receiving hundreds per day,” said Master Sgt. Kristine Crespo, 8th Logistics Readiness Squadron installation deployment officer. “That’s why we want to ensure that we’re ready to perform this function efficiently.” Exercises like Bev Sent 24-2 keep Kunsan prepared to accept follow-on forces at a moment’s notice while maintaining critical operations. <br/> <img src='https://media.defense.gov/2024/Jul/21/2003507278/300/300/0/240719-F-OO000-1209.JPG' alt='Airmen assigned to the 8th Fighter Wing exit a bus during exercise Beverly Sentinel 24-2 at Kunsan Air Base' /> <br /> Sun, 21 Jul 2024 23:36:38 GMT Senior Airman James Johnson https://www.kunsan.af.mil/-Wolf-Pack-News/Display/Article/3845073/wolf-pack-hones-reception-of-forces-mission-during-bev-sent-24-2/ U.S. bombers arrive in Romania for Bomber Task Force 24-4 https://www.usafe.af.mil/News/Article-Display/Article/3845059/us-bombers-arrive-in-romania-for-bomber-task-force-24-4/ Two U.S. Air Force B-52H Stratofortress aircraft assigned to the 2nd Bomb Wing, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, arrived at Mihail Kogalniceanu Airbase, Romania, for Bomber Task Force 24-4, Sunday.<br/> <img src='https://media.defense.gov/2024/Jul/21/2003507264/300/300/0/240721-F-VA676-003.JPG' alt='A B-52H Stratofortress from the 20th Bomb Squadron, Barksdale Air Force Base, La., makes its initial landing at Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base, Romania, in support of Bomber Task Force Deployment 24-4, July 21, 2024.
