Marines from the 1st Battalion 24th Marines prepare to depart their home station of Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mich., on Aug. 4, 2015. The Marines participated in a training exercise at the USMC Mountain Warfare Training Center in southern California. Nearly 300 Marines departed Selfridge for the training, moving on six USMC C-130 Hercules tactical airlift aircraft. Members of the 127th Wing Security Forces Squadron and Latvian Military Police, who are also Presidential Guards, perform a security detail to guard both Michigan and Pennsylvania Air National Guard KC-135s during Saber Strike 2015.
