Stripe Honors Selfridge, SAC Heritage

TSgt. Bart Davidson, 191st Maintenance Squadron, removes the masking tape from a checkerboard stripe newly-painted on a KC-135 Stratotanker at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mich., Dec. 15, 2011. The aircraft was painted with a checkerboard stripe and related detailing that honors both the heritage of the Michigan Air National Guard and the former Strategic Air Command, which once operated at Selfridge.
